FEI wanna ask you ... my boss just gave me this Magnum Pro 45/pro FSR/ABC R/C engine ....   wanna ask how much more do i have to spend to make a fully functioning RC model ... car or helicopter ... wah...... dave u play RC car also ??  |

psyched ~~ welcome to rc world lol... that is heli or airplane engine ? but i sure it not car...  but for car i know lo.. u nid 1 carkit 2 radio 3 2 servo one for throtle one for steering but now mostly for begginer RTR kit cost around RM1200 sth FAST FAST BELI MONSTER JOIN ME !! ;D ;D this is my monster ^_^ hpi savage... already 5yrs old still i brought it at 3rd hand lolx.. with some little modification...     my suspension gone...  lol d**n low.. getting new once still not yet arrival ~~ >.<    |

Actually ... interested in RC ... however never had the budget to build one up ... suddenly, out of nowhere my boss gave me this engine many months back ... so i decided to find out exactly what i have to top up to build a complete unit ... just for fun's sake ...
Fei ... i read the manual ... it seems to be for a plane engine where u connect the propeller ... however in one small part it says that you can also connect it to a driveshaft ... so i suppose can make into a car ... but honestly am not too sure ... thats why i leave it to u to advise ..
Do u play wif any fuel powered RC models? .. giv me some tutoring sifu ...

that is a gud engine.. ^_^ yea i more in to NItro Fuel powered RC  i only know some kacang only... so i will let u know wat u know.. lol from wat i know ~ there is diffrence between Car engine and flight engine... because the concept are same with a REAL car engine.. There is piston, Plug, crankshaft , conrod , bearing , crankcase, sleeve, gasket heat sink.. the only difference from car and airplane engine is The clutch while Car engine got flywheel and clutch shoes inside so when the engine start the clucth will engage and hit the CB<:::: clutch bell so the clutch bell will spin and to ur spur and to whole Drivetain. from engine => Cluth Bell => spur => gear box => gear diff => wheel whiles air plan if i not misunderstood there is no clutch bell it just directly mount on the propeller so the engine will not die i never play with plane before so dun 100% trust wat i say lol ~ .. because the propeller will not touch the ground to start it u just need to spin the propeller with starter and Grow heater on it and it start sooo in the end if u use this engine in a RC car ~ i think it can't work because of nitro car are using clutch .. so when ur car at idle mode the engine will keep spinning without engage the Clutch bell whiles the wheel are on the ground non move.. if u use this engine in car.. the car can't idle because no clutch whiles ur car stop.. then the engine stop. sorry for poor explanation i verry noob in english lol ~~ c some of the nitro video.. try to c u will heard idle sound when the car are no moving www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i40mgrLJ-A www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uogkq2f3QsYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=m2_BawG3f7Uwww.hpiracing.com ^_^ goes c some... which one more suitable for u Drift ?
